May I take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in Lostock Hall Academy.
I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Lostock Hall Academy which has been judged by Ofsted to be outstanding. Over the years, I have been involved in many changes to the school and we will continue to attempt to provide the best possible education for young people who attend.
We are a High Performing Specialist School with Arts, Maths and Computing as our specialisms. In addition, the school is a National Support School, which means we support other schools within the country. We have also been named as an outstanding provider.
We have a strong discipline policy but it is delivered with care, understanding and respect. Sometimes young people need to be clear about boundaries because it gives them a feeling of security. An example of this is our zero tolerance policies on illegal substances and bullying. The staff and governors approve of the policies but, more importantly, so do the students.
