Preparing for College
Pupils receive presentations from local colleges regarding progression pathways. Information and guidance is also given by local training and apprenticeship providers. The practice of successful applications is revised before pupils complete their actual application forms. Further guidance with interview technique is given prior to college interviews taking place.
Term 2
Pupils learn about effective revision techniques before engaging in a series of Maths and English Booster Sessions.
There is a wealth of impartial careers information, advice and guidance available on the Key Stage 4 Life Studies STAR page for pupils to access within their own homes.
The Academy also runs regular careers advice drop-ins for pupils at Key Stage 4.
