Welcome to the Modern Foreign Languages Department.

All pupils study French in Year 7 and have 2 language lessons per week. This is increased to 3 lessons in Years 8 and 9 so that pupils in Set 1 also have the opportunity to study Spanish. Pupils demonstrate their skills at the Continental Café acting as waiters at Open Evening. During Year 9 pupils can choose their options for Years 10 and 11 and both French and Spanish are offered at GCSE level. Pupils leaving school with Language Skills are much more employable in today’s society.
