Oliver!

Over 100 staff and pupils were involved in performing, lighting, designing and painting the set and other jobs behind the scenes. As well as performing to full audiences on 3 evenings, the cast performed to all our feeder primary schools in 2 full dress-rehearsels.

Lostock Hall's Got Talent!

Our annual talent show runs every year with pupils displaying a range of talents from dancers to singers, drama and comedy acts and even disablo's! The show this year will take place on 19th July 2012.

Jessica Collins and Katy Proctor were amongst the winnders in the 2011 show.

Showstoppers: A Night at the Musicals

Our biannual Performing Arts extravaganza features Dance, Drama and Music from the musicals performed by pupils across all years who attend extra-curricular clubs.

Aladdin!

Our first ever Panto was a great success. Pupils from across the school were involved in a range of aspects of the show, including performing, set construction, lighting and sound.

West Side Story

Set in America in the 1950's, West Side Story is a tale of two lovers fighting to be together despite their very different backgrounds. this perfomance was an amazing showcase of the talent at Lostock Hall Academy.

'Centre Stage' - An Evening of Dance & Drama

Over the last year dance in the school has increased in popularity. 'Centre Stage' is a culmination of the success of visiting artists and our own pupils’ dedication for dance both in and out of school in a wide range of dance styles from cheerleading to clog dancing, disco to ‘Bollywood’ and beyond!

Shakespeare Schools Festival
Romeo and Juliet


Following the success of our performance of Macbeth in 2008 at the Charter Theatre we once again decided to take up the challenge of performing a 30 minute adaption of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. A cast of 35 pupils took part in a workshop with the National Youth Theatre and then performed their Space themed performance of Romeo and Juliet at the Charter Theatre on Friday 15th October
