Department Aims
- To provide for all pupils a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated science education.
- To develop and apply IT, numeracy, literacy and communication skills in the study of science.
- To develop in pupils a scientific methodology which will;
- Encourage curiosity and enquiry.
- Develop an appreciation for the role and implications of science in our society
- Encourage sceptical and critical thought processes and evidence based conclusions and decisions.
- Encouraging pupils to find out the answers to problems and questions, by research, investigation and experimentation.
- Enable them to access a body of scientific knowledge.
