Pupil Rewards
An important part of the Pastoral System in our school is to reward our pupils for good work, effort and behaviour. Our reward system is very popular and successful and pupils respond positively.
On the orange pages in the Pupil Planner is a collection sheet, where pupils collect signatures from staff for their Achievement Points. Achievement Points are issued by all staff for any praiseworthy work or effort.
At the end of each term, a draw is held (during Rewards Assemblies at Christmas and summer) and entry into the draw is by the total of Achievement Points. In Years 7-9, one raffle ticket is issued for every ten Achievement Points, and in Years 10 & 11 one ticket per five points. Pupils win vouchers for popular retailers.
At the end of the school year, we hold Rewards Trips for pupils who have consistently worked hard and put effort into their school life, based on the number of Achievement Points and recommendations from staff. These trips are a very enjoyable end to the school year.
Pupils are also rewarded every half term for excellent attendance and there is a raffle for all pupils who have 100% attendance per half term. Prizes include cinema vouchers, Easter eggs and McDonalds vouchers.
